Acupuncture at IAH
Dr. Luckstone is officially a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She has completed 8 months of training, 30 internship hours and a case report submission to receive her certification. Acupuncture will become an added tool to our traditional treatments. While acupuncture can be used for almost any condition in the body, it is most well-know for and generally most successful in treating musculoskeletal issues such as knee, hip or back problems or arthritis on older pets. Acupuncture causes the release of “feel-good” chemicals in the body and our patients often become very relaxed or take a nap during their treatment. If you think your pet would benefit from acupuncture treatment, give us a call at 912-638-2583.
Help for Glynn County Animal Control
Congratulations to Tiffani Hill, director of Glynn County Animal Control, for helping them become a recipient of a Georgia Department of Agriculture grant for spaying and neutering adoptable pets. Island Animal Hospital is happy to partner with Georgia Department of Agriculture to help Glynn County Animal Control with their spay and neuter surgeries. The end goal is to humanely reduce the stray pet population in our area!
