Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Karl Hill
Dr. H. Karl Hill has cared for Island pets and their families for the past 8 years. Before joining us, Dr. Hill practiced zoo veterinary medicine for 18 years. As a zoo veterinarian, he served as the Veterinary Advisor to the Snow Leopard Species Survival Plan, contributed to a conservation project for Channel Island Foxes off the California coast, and scaled cliffs to provide medical care to California Condor chicks in their nests.
Dr. Hill’s dedication to animals extends beyond exotic species. He has volunteered at spay/neuter clinics for shelter cats, dogs, and rabbits, and provided compassionate care to rescued animals.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Dr. Hill is delighted to be back in his home state, serving the community of St. Simons Island. At home, he, his wife Tiffani, and their son Matthew enjoy a lively household that includes their newly adopted dog, Stetson, from TriState Collie Rescue, five rescued cats, and a house rabbit named Bodie. When not at the clinic, the Hill family enjoys kayaking, traveling, and immersing themselves in science fiction.
Dr. Hill is honored to be part of the Island Animal Hospital team, where his extensive experience and genuine care help ensure that every patient receives exceptional veterinary care.
