Traci Crankshaw
Hospital Manager

The veterinarians and staff welcome Traci to her new role as Hospital Manager. She has been employed by Island Animal Hospital for more than 15 years and during that time she has worn many hats. As a hometown teenager she brought the family dog to IAH giving her a personal knowledge of the local culture and the needs of our clients. Traci initially worked in human health care but found her passion for animals brought her to the world of veterinary medicine, which she loves.

Her goal as Hospital Manager to is to maintain IAH at the best level. As in the past, she will underscore client service excellence and quality veterinary medical practice. Traci’s diverse training and compassionate nature are key to the smooth running of this busy veterinary practice.

Traci lives in Brunswick with her husband. Together they have two adult children, three dogs and four cats.

Lisa Bius, Front Office Manager at St. Simons Island Animal Hospital

Front Office Supervisor / Client Care Specialist

Lisa has the distinction being part of the Island Animal Hospital team for over 30 years. She came to IAH in her youth to work with animals and she found her love of working with people as well. In her role as our Front Office Supervisor she has found that learning is constant. Lisa has had a front row seat to observe the advances in veterinary medicine and the progression of the pet’s role in our families. A native of Brunswick, she and her husband Ron share their home with 3 dogs and 3 horses. Alpo is their special horse who acts more like the family dog. Lisa and Ron purchased Alpo at a slaughter house auction 32 years ago and he has been a happy boy ever since. She is an avid gardener who also likes hiking and traveling.

Cathy Rossiter
Operation Specialist

Cathy became an original member of the IAH family when she and husband, Dr. Jan Rossiter, purchased IAH in 1984. After helping to launch IAH, she took time off to be a stay- at- home mother to their two sons. Cathy came back to IAH around 2002 as Practice Manager, a position she held until 2015. Currently she works part – time to assist with marketing for IAH. Her new schedule allows her to spend more time with her grandson, Connor.

Technical Staff

Sam Dickinson

SamSam has been connected to Island Animal Hospital from childhood through her family’s pets. Her avid love for animals of all sizes began in her youth and continues today. In 2000 while working on Little St. Simons Island with horses, Sam decided to change course a bit and pursue a career as a veterinary technician. She graduated from Ogeechee Technical College in 2006 and went back to teach there from 2010 until 2013.

Sam enjoys sharing her natural ability to educate clients about the pets. She is very enthusiastic about the quality of medicine, especially dental care, that is practiced at Island Animal Hospital. Working at IAH is a great fit for Sam whose goal each day is to help clients improve quality of life for their pets.

When time allows Sam’s hobbies are riding and training horses and sailing. Her family includes her son, three dogs and three cats.

Alyssa Raby

AlyssaAlyssa knew from an early age that she would be a veterinary assistant and follow in her mother’s footsteps. After high school she was hired to work as a boarding technician and soon advanced to a vet assistant at a small animal hospital in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Alyssa’s warm smile speaks of her obvious enthusiasm for her work. Diagnostics and surgery are areas that she finds most interesting and she thrives on being part of a pet health care team.

Alyssa’s pet family consists of her two favorite dogs, Gunner and Munchkin. When she is not working Alyssa enjoys reading, coloring and swimming.

Robin Robinson

Robin Robinson at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalRobin’s personal mission is to support the commitment pet owners make when they bring a pet into their lives. As a veterinary assistant she likes being part of pet health care and well-being. She has an interest in critical care so she also works at the Brunswick ER, to enhance her critical care experience. Robin has a degree in biology. Born and raised in Brunswick, she and her son, Roman, share their home with their dog, Kitha and cat, Karlito. Robin’s hobbies include dancing, singing and listening to books. She even dances for the cats and dogs!

Lori Voigt

Lori Voight at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalLori finds being a veterinary assistant at IAH is her perfect match because she can be engaged with the pet owners and their pet families. Those relationships are what brought her into veterinary medicine. In a prior life Lori worked on the human side as a surgical technician and most of her patients were under anesthesia.

She moved to the Golden Isles in 2007 and lives happily with her husband and dogs Sammy and Bogator. When time permits, Lori spends time with her children and grandchildren in South Carolina. Next to enjoying her own pets, fishing is her favorite hobby. The doctors and staff appreciate Lori’s sunny disposition and her dedicated care of the pets and people who pass through our doors.

Client Care Specialist

Gina Neeld

Gina Neeld at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalIsland Animal Hospital is Gina’s ideal work environment because she loves people and pets. She naturally goes the extra mile for our customers, a skill she perfected during her years of running the family printing business. Gina looks forward to her job as a client care specialist each day. She received a heart transplant shortly after the birth of her second child, so she knows first hand the value of positive thinking and a can-do spirit. Gina and her husband Hilton have two daughters, Carolyn and Amber. Nugget, Patrick and Cricket comprise their Chihuahua children and Gracie and T are their cat kids. In her spare time Gina is into crafting.

Nancy Ratcliffe

Nancy Neeld at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalNancy grew up in Florida and she moved to Georgia in 1980. She became part of the IAH family this year and she is a great fit with the IAH clients, staff and veterinarians. Nancy believes her job is to help our clients become connected to us and our services. In fact, the favorite part of her work is answering questions and helping pet owners feel comfortable when they bring us their pet family. Nancy has been working with veterinarians for a number of years and she appreciates the importance of good communication.

Nancy and her husband Charlie have two sons, Eric and Scotty. Their pet children include two dogs, Snuggles and Rusty, and two cats, DJ and Peaches who provide the family with constant entertainment. In her spare time Nancy relaxes by making jewelry and it is not surprising that many of her pieces are pet- themed.

Boarding Staff

Kimmi Tackett, Kennel Manager

Kimmi Tackett at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalKimmi enjoys her job as kennel manager because she can ensure the best care possible for our four-legged friends. She believes that growing up in a large family has helped her to be a natural caretaker. This quality is one of the many reasons she is well suited to manage a busy kennel with high standards. Some favorite parts of her job are getting to know the individual pet personalities and enriching our boarders with play activities each day. She appreciates that some boarders live for playtime and exercise while others prefer quiet snuggle time.

Kimmi has a BFA degree from Georgia Southern and she is artistically multi-talented. When she is not working at IAH she spends time with rescue pets and her own pet family which includes her dog Moose, and cats Triceratops and Wheezy.

Ashlyn Kersey

Ashlyn at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalAshlyn was born and raised in Brunswick. Currently, she is pursuing a biology degree at CCGA with a goal to attend veterinary school. Her strong interest in animals, science, and math make her the perfect candidate. Ashlyn enjoys her work at IAH because she can interact with a variety of pets and grow her animal care skills. In high school, Ashlynn learned a lot about animal handling as a member of the Golden Isles Future Farmers of America.

To Ashlyn, pets are family and her pet family includes her dogs Cujo, Abby, Jorja, and Jake. When she isn’t working or at school she enjoys spending time with her pets and reading.

Kadie Rogers

Kadie Rogers at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalKadie believes that her passion for animals is a result of being part of an agricultural family that cares directly for their animals. She enjoys her work in our kennel where she ensures the best care possible for our boarders. Currently, Kadie is a student at CCGA, and she is pursuing a degree concentrating in biomedical sciences with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. She is the president of the Biology Club which allows her to and her fellow students to connect with our community and build stronger foundations in their biology-based fields. Learning is Kadie’s “thing” and to that end, on her days off she shadows our veterinarians when they do surgery, furthering her exposure to the veterinary field. You may also see Kadie working at the Pet Exchange where she spends time with more animal lovers. Kadie has a best friend named Morticia (cat).

Grooming Staff

Danielle Wilson Grantham

Sheila Burgess at St. Simons Island Animal HospitalDanielle has an innate need to nurture animals and an artistic drive to make them look their best. She thrives on the challenges of pet grooming and has a sense of accomplishment when she pleases the pet and pet owner. Danielle grew up in Brunswick around domestic and farm animals. As an adult, she and her husband, David have one dog, two cats, four foster squirrels and a Micro Mini pig . There is hardly a critter that she can’t make friends with. Jessica La Roche

Aireal Hammac at St. Simons Island Animal Hospital We welcome Jessica La Roche to the IAH grooming team. With five years of grooming experience, this quite and dedicated groomer began as a bather and discovered her fondness for grooming.

A self-professed animal lover and country girl, Jessica believes in gentle grooming for all animals in her care. It is important to her that grooming be as stress free as possible. Jessica and her husband have four wonderful children and three super dogs. Together they spend as much family time as possible enjoying their pets and outdoor life
